'Great Gatsby' release date gets bumped to summer 2013

Baz Luhrmann's anticipated 3-D adaptation of F.Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" will no longer arrive in time for the holidays. According to E! Online, Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow announced today that the film's release has been moved from Dec. 25 to an undisclosed date in summer 2013.

While some fans may feel saddened by the news of the delay, a Warner Bros. spokesperson released a reassuring statement: "Based on what we've seen, Baz Luhrmann's incredible work is all we anticipated and so much more. It truly brings Fitzgerald's American classic to life in a completely immersive, visually stunning and exciting way."
