With Father’s Day on Sunday, what better way to show the men you love -- fathers, husbands, and sons who are dads -- how much you care than giving them a gift that promotes good health? (Last year, I bought my husband a one-month gym membership for $30.)
If he likes to grill, how about buying him the Cooking Light Way to Cook Grilling ($14 in paperback), which provides tips on preparing grilled foods in a healthier way, or get him a fish grill basket for $22 so he can prepare fish filets just as easily as steaks and burgers.
Does he have a green thumb? Get him a complete herb garden kit for $9.95, or consider a set of solar bells ($35) to help plants grow during chilly gloomy June days.
A new dad who can’t get to the gym might like a strollometer for $40, which measures distance, time, and speed as he pushes baby around on errands. It can also be hooked onto a jogger stroller (Walmart sells one for $149), another great gift for runners.
