The New England Patriots are expected to meet with free agent tight end Visanthe Shiancoe today, according to report by NFL Network's Steve Wyche.

The Patriots already have five tight ends on their roster, including an injured Jake Ballard and Brad Herman, who is listed on injured reserve.

Shiancoe, who is best known for his time with the Minnesota Vikings, is a 10-year pro with 243 career receptions and 27 touchdowns. He's a free agent after five seasons with the Vikings.
