As the writers of "Arrested Development" hastily attempted to tie up the show's complex storylines during its truncated final season on FOX in 2006, they used the script to openly, and unsuccessfully, court Showtime and HBO. Instead, the cult series endured years of rumors and false-starts before finding a home on Netflix. Now, long-suffering fans finally know when they'll see the Bluth family again.

Though no exact date was announced, a Netflix spokesperson told the Huffington Post that "at least" 10 episodes will be released in one chunk in spring 2013. The possible expansion beyond 10 episodes recalls a recent remark made by castmember David Cross to Rolling Stone that he believes the series will be expanded to 13 episodes. A movie, which narrator/executive producer Ron Howard hinted at during the season 3 finale, is set to be released after the fourth season.

During its three-season run on FOX, "Arrested Development" received 22 Emmy nominations with six wins. Low ratings caused the network to drop the show in 2006.
