In this week's installment of #ProjectAdam (you know where I beat up encourage my coworkers and friends Adam Salsman and Adam 12 as they train for their first 5K with me), I decided to bring the boys together.
Usually, the Adams work out separately and then Thursdays on Adam12's RadioBDC show at 2 p.m., we all compare notes about how things are going.
But since it's Valentine's Day I decided the three of us should have a little fun exercising together here in the good 'ole Globe gym.
That, however, is where my idea of a love-fest stopped because my boys are clearly getting a little too comfy with me calling the shots.
Allow me to illustrate this point:
Exhibit A:
When the boys and I made a plan to run together on treadmills at the gym here, Salsman replied with a "sounds good" and even blocked off time in his outlook office calendar for a half-hour run. Adam 12, on the other hand, sent me an e-mail asking "can you come get me, I don't know where the gym is." WHAT?
Winner of exhibit A: Salsman.
Exhibit B:
Since I am all for encouraging good behavior, I, like a good friend schlepped to the RadioBDC studio and walked 12 down to the Globe gym. I have to give Adam 12 credit, he showed up, in gym clothes, proper sneakers included. And then, he and I proceeded to WAIT for Salsman. EXCUSE ME? Mama bear doesn't wait well. Never show up late to a workout. Never.
Winner exhibit B: 12
